I got you at Whalebone didn’t I?
The are few things more amusing to a nerdy Trade Mark enthusiast such as myself than a list of goods/services for a product or service which someone has got a little over enthusiastic with. You’re only really supposed to register a Trade Mark for goods or services you use the proposed Trade Mark for, or genuinely intend to use for in the future. Otherwise, you’re Trade Mark is open to challenge down the line on the grounds of non use in respect of the goods/services for which it has not been used.
Imagine my nerdish surprise then to find an Irish Trade Mark application by the BBC for Blue Peter, you know, this one…..
…..for the below list of Goods Or Services.
Coming soon to a shelf near you include the following Gems:
- Blue Peter Scented Wood
- Blue Peter horological and chronometric instruments
- Blue Peter sails for ski sailing
- Blue Peter Bulb planning gift sets
- Blue Peter articles made of wood, cork, reed, cane, wicker, horn, bone, ivory, whalebone, shell, amber, mother-of-pearl, meerschaum or plastic.
Sorry, what was that last bit??
Blue Peter articles made of Ivory or Whalebone??
Was it for this we totalised?
For shame Blue Peter, for shame.
